The rules for using SideKick.

These Terms govern your access to and use of SideKick, including the mobile app, website, booking marketplace, safety tools, payment workflows, support channels, and related services.

By creating an account, browsing, booking, applying as a SideKick, or otherwise using SideKick, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use SideKick.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to use SideKick. By using the service, you confirm that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate, current, and complete.

SideKick may refuse, suspend, restrict, or terminate access if we believe a user is underage, ineligible, unsafe, fraudulent, or otherwise violating these Terms.

2. Accounts and security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You must promptly notify SideKick if you suspect unauthorized access or misuse. You may not create accounts using false information, impersonate another person, sell or transfer your account, or create multiple accounts to bypass restrictions.

3. SideKick's marketplace role

SideKick provides a technology platform that helps users discover, communicate with, book, pay, and review trusted companions and local activity partners. SideKick is not a party to every offline interaction between users and SideKicks, and SideKicks are not employees, agents, or representatives of SideKick unless expressly stated in a separate written agreement.

We may provide trust, safety, booking, moderation, payment, and support tools, but users remain responsible for their conduct, decisions, and compliance with law during real-world meetups.

4. SideKick services and listings

SideKicks may create listings for categories such as coffee chats, study sessions, event companionship, errands, city exploring, wellness walks, local guidance, or other approved activities. Listings must be accurate, lawful, respectful, and within the categories allowed by SideKick.

SideKick may edit, reject, hide, pause, or remove listings that are misleading, unsafe, prohibited, low quality, inactive, or inconsistent with our policies.

5. Bookings, changes, and cancellations

A booking is created when a user submits a request and the applicable booking workflow confirms or records it in the app. Booking details may include activity, date, time, duration, meeting point, notes, price, fees, and status.

6. Payments, fees, refunds, and payouts

Payments are processed through SideKick and its payment partners. By making or receiving payments, you agree to the applicable payment partner terms and authorize SideKick or its providers to charge, collect, hold, refund, transfer, or settle amounts related to bookings, platform fees, taxes, penalties, refunds, and payouts.

SideKicks are responsible for providing accurate payout and tax information where required. SideKick may delay or withhold payouts if required for fraud checks, disputes, refunds, chargebacks, safety investigations, legal compliance, or account verification.

Refunds and cancellation outcomes may depend on booking status, timing, user conduct, service completion, payment partner rules, and SideKick policies shown in the app or support communications.

7. Safety and offline meetups

SideKick is designed for respectful, lawful, public, and consent-based real-world plans. Users should meet in public places, keep communication in the app until comfortable, share plans with trusted contacts when appropriate, and use app safety tools when available.

You agree not to engage in harassment, stalking, threats, violence, sexual exploitation, discriminatory conduct, coercion, scams, illegal activity, intoxicated or unsafe behavior, payment bypass, or any behavior that endangers another person or damages the trust of the platform.

SideKick may investigate reports, review chat and booking records where necessary, restrict accounts, cancel bookings, contact emergency services or authorities, and take other steps we consider appropriate for safety and platform integrity.

9. User content, reviews, and communications

You are responsible for content you submit, including profile text, photos, listings, messages, reports, reviews, and support materials. You grant SideKick a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, process, moderate, and use that content to operate, improve, promote, and protect the service.

Reviews must be honest and based on real experiences. SideKick may remove or limit content that is false, abusive, discriminatory, unsafe, promotional, irrelevant, privacy-invasive, or otherwise violates our policies.

10. Verification and moderation

Verification badges, phone verification, profile checks, reviews, ratings, and moderation tools are intended to improve trust, but they are not a guarantee of a user's identity, character, conduct, legality, safety, or suitability. Users must still use judgment and follow safety practices.

SideKick may use automated and manual review systems. We may issue warnings, remove content, restrict features, cancel bookings, suspend accounts, or permanently terminate access when we believe it is appropriate.

11. Third-party services

SideKick may integrate third-party services for authentication, payments, maps, analytics, cloud hosting, messaging, verification, notifications, and support. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and privacy notices. SideKick is not responsible for third-party services outside our control.

12. Intellectual property

SideKick, including its name, logo, software, designs, text, graphics, workflows, and platform features, is owned by SideKick or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from SideKick except as allowed by law or written permission.

13. Disclaimers

SideKick is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, specific results, user conduct, booking availability, earnings, compatibility, or that every user will meet your expectations. Offline meetups involve real-world risk, and users are responsible for their decisions and conduct.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SideKick and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, affiliates, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, personal decisions, user conduct, or offline interactions arising from or related to the service.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, or other liability that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

15. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SideKick from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of the service, your content, your bookings, your offline conduct, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of law or another person's rights.

16. Suspension and termination

You may stop using SideKick at any time. SideKick may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account or access to any feature at any time if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk, caused harm, failed verification, engaged in fraud, or if continued access may harm users, SideKick, or third parties.

Some provisions, including payment obligations, safety investigations, content licenses, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, and dispute provisions, may survive termination.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to applicable law, courts located in India will have jurisdiction over disputes related to these Terms or SideKick. Before filing a formal claim, you agree to contact SideKick so we can attempt to resolve the issue informally.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users through the app, website, email, or other available channels. Continued use of SideKick after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
